Tea, coffee, cakes, lollipops...
We are happy to make tea and coffee for browsers, and ask if you would support our chosen charity the Deaf Africa Fund by making a donation towards the cost of your refreshments. Our coffee and tea are Fairtrade and organic, our milk is organic and our cakes are freshly made by the local WI. We also keep organic lollipops which are free from colours, additives and sugar, if you have small children with you who would like a healthy treat! On Saturdays, you'll find the weekend papers on the table, too.

We pride ourselves on being a community bookshop, and this is very important to us; we are as dedicated to our community as we are to stocking the very best selection of books.

Wenlock Books caters for all ages and wide interests; we have three reading groups that meet in the bookshop regularly, and we also frequently hold events for children.

Wenlock Books is one of the best bookshops around, and you don't just have to take our word for it; in May 2006, Wenlock Books was judged to be the  Independent Bookseller of the Year by the Booksellers Association of the United Kingdom & Ireland. and in 2008 The Independent listed us as one of the top 50 bookshops, describing us as "a favourite of bookshop browsers nationwide." Praise indeed!

We hope that you can find some time to come and visit us in the shop to discover for yourself the delights of Wenlock Books.
