Welcome to Wenlock Books

Anna Dreda. Wenlock Books is an independent bookshop, situated in a beautiful and character rich 15th century, Grade II listed building in the centre of Much Wenlock in Shropshire. We pride ourselves on excellent personal service and efficiency, utilising the latest technology to enable us to best serve our customers.

At Wenlock Books we offer the complete reading experience; you can take a seat and look through our wide selection of contemporary fiction and fantastic children's books, or you might enjoy perusing our Everyman's Library Classics; our complete range of the excellent Eland Books' classics of travel literature; and of course our full list of the much-loved Persephone classics, of which 'Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day' is just one of many treats.

We stock a wide and eclectic range of classical CDs, including the budget-price Naxos catalogue but also the harder to find Hyperion, Gimmell, BIS, Wigmore Hall and others; world music from the Putumayo catalogue; folk and jazz, too. We have accounts with all the major music labels and are happy to order CDs that we don't have in stock.

We also have an extensive and eminently browsable second-hand selection.
