Readers' Tour of Venice

From Shakespeare to Donna Leon, Byron to Ian McEwan, there are surprises around every corner for book-lovers in Venice. Here’s your chance to treat yourself to four days of unhurried literary and cultural exploration in the company of like-minded souls.

Each day starts with a walking tour led by our local guides, author Anne Amison and her husband, historian Michael Albutt, who will take us in the literary footsteps of Byron, Casanova, John Ruskin, George Eliot, Joseph Brodsky, Shakespeare’s Venice and more.

In the afternoons, you can choose to join Anne and Michael in ‘Ruskin’s Venice’, the ‘Literary Lido’ or ‘Venice as Byron knew it’, or explore the city on your own, go shopping, or simply relax with a good book.

Evenings are spent sharing our reflections of the day over dinner in a welcoming trattoria, with the final evening being devoted to food, wine and poetry.

Cost: €995 (excluding flights and transfers)
